Engage M1 and Leo Burnett Detroit Welcomes Adam Livesey as Chief Creative Officer

Industry veteran has solid track record in developing award-winning integrated campaigns

Engage M1 and Leo Burnett Detroit are excited to name Adam Livesey as the new chief creative officer. Livesey will bring a fresh perspective to the office’s automotive clients, backed by more than two decades’ worth of success and experience working with mega brands such as Visa, AT&T, HBO and Pepsi.

One of Livesey’s most notable successes is the Axe “Get a Girlfriend” campaign, which he led when he was at Mullen Lowe Johannesburg, serving as creative director/art director in his native South Africa. The campaign was so successful locally that Unilever implemented it in other markets around the world. “Get a Girlfriend” went on to win more than 10 Cannes Lions, as well as gain prominence internationally.

Livesey will report to Mark Tutssel, chief creative officer, Leo Burnett Worldwide. “Throughout his career, Adam has created dynamic, integrated work for many iconic multinational brands,” said Tutssel. “He has repeatedly proven his ability to develop integrated, award-winning campaigns that drive business. Adam is masterful in bringing out the best of his team to produce great work. I look forward to seeing the impact he’ll have in Detroit.”

Livesey, named a top 10 art director by the Gunn Report, will lead the teams for GMC, Buick, GM Customer Care and Service, and GM Certified Pre-Owned.
