Leo’s Cannes Contenders: Du Telecommunications “du Tuesday”

Leo Burnett Dubai plays on a wide range of human emotions in its series of witty television commercials for “du Tuesday” — du Telecomunication’s campaign promoting two movie tickets for the price of one on Tuesdays for all mobile customers.

These irreverent spots center on the reality that movies aren’t meant to be watched alone. Violence, humor, apathy— this campaign pulls out all the stops, and that’s why it’s on our list of 2015 Cannes contenders.

Watch the commercials here:

Du “Too distressing – du Tuesday"
A choppy film featuring the dark chaos of a war zone under fire, this spot leaves your ears ringing. Plus, it has a legitimate content warning.

Du "Too Informative - du Tuesday"
This black-and-white courtroom scene features rapid-fire information, sure to go right over your head. If the stenographers can’t keep up, you can’t either.

Du "Too Insulting - du Tuesday"
Two astronauts star in this utterly ridiculous satire on death and time travel.
